Duncan's 260Z

I brought my Zed as a budget collectable car with the intention of using it as a group SC marque sports race car.

Modifications include:

- Adjustable platform suspension by Pedder’s Frankston;

- Z-Shop (Lindsay Drife) balanced and blueprinted motor with 240z su’s and extractors;

- Scorcher modified 280Z electronic ignition;

- 260z close ratio 5 speed gearbox;

- R200 limited slip differential

- 15”x7” original Bathurst Globe mag wheels fitted with 032R Yokohoma tyres from Traction Tyres.

This body had previously been seam welded for strength, and the classic curves massaged by Dave Allan at Vintage and Custom Panels in Bendigo, with two coats of 2pack Nissan 200SX red paint applied to highlight the beautiful Zed lines.

Safety items include roll cage, Sparco fixed back race seats and harnesses, and a 1kg fire extinguisher.

Recent modifications include a ported and polished head by Kevin Mackrell from Traralgon with matching inlet manifold to increase torque.

My Zed has been a very reliable motorsport car, being mainly used for hill climbs, club sprints and motorkhanas at the moment, but has been built around eventually being used for tarmac rallying (already having fitted mini-cockpit, map light, hydraulic handbrake, driving light mounts and wiring and body strengthening).
